EAS assembled and led team to perform high-risk internal steel water storage tank inspections associated with nuclear facilities.  Our staff planned the project approach required approval of a Hazard Review Board. We utilized certified commercial divers safely and successfully performed underwater inspections, cleaning, and minor repair work in four elevated water tanks—from 300-thousand gallons to 750-thousand gallons in size— according to operational safety and health standards.  Crews videotaped underwater inspections to ensure project objectives were met.  The project also required coordination of two cranes, two lifts, air-supplied commercial diving equipment, emergency response equipment, and numerous staff in confined areas.
