EAS is updating an Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP) for the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Beaufort, South Carolina. EAS is bringing the current plan up to new standards using guidance from the USMC Headquarters for the outline and presentation of the plan. In addition, EAS is developing a mechanism for bridging the MCAS ICRMP and the Townsend Bombing Range (TBR) ICRMP.
The completed ICRMP will include all historical and cultural information discovered during data mining and the literature review, including historic context, historic preservation requirements such as The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and identification of any cultural resources requirements over a 5-year period.
