EAS is facilitating Navy’s compliance with Section 110 and 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) through the completion of an interior assessment of the contributing resources of two historic districts. EAS is conducting background research for each building by utilizing available files from the public works department, national archives regional offices, online resources and installation-provided information. The results of the assessment and report will support Navy decisions and consultations for the future management and treatment of the contributing resources as it relates to proposed repair/renovation and other facility work.
