Cole Lindsey is a Biologist with over 10 years of experience planning and implementing ecological surveys, assessing wildlife and habitat resources, and conducting environmental compliance and natural resources management. Cole’s experience includes managing projects, overseeing scientific staff and technicians. Field experience includes vegetation analysis, rare plant surveys, bat handling/acoustics, SCUBA/snorkel surveys, fixed-wing aerial surveys, small mammal collection, radio-telemetry, boat and backpack electrofishing, trail-camera studies, and population mapping.

Areas of study have included a broad range of genera including bats, jackrabbits, ground squirrels, mule deer, elk, amphibians, snakes, bald eagles, burrowing owls, nesting raptors, salmonids, Pacific lamprey, and freshwater mussels. Habitat-based projects have included mitigation and restoration design and monitoring, native seed collection, mapping of salmon spawning areas, and project planning to avoid impacts on natural resources.

Skill-sets beneficial to the completion of these studies include the proficient use of GIS (ESRI ArcMAP), Microsoft Office, and high-accuracy GPS units (Trimble). These projects concluded with the production of detailed, publicly available reports. Cole has extensive experience with Environmental Assessments including conducting NEPA evaluations, Biological Assessments, and Endangered Species Act consultations in the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern United States. This work required fostering effective communication between clients and multiple state and federal agencies.

Cole was also responsible for evaluating projects to ensure that they were conducted in compliance with applicable biological resource protection laws, regulations, and policies.
