In 2021 the Department of Energy completed a 4-month transition to lead support services for Mission Support Alliance (MSA) to new contractor, Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS). EAS will continue supporting environmental projects on the Hanford Site under HMIS, with focus on environmental surveillance and ecological compliance and monitoring support.
EAS looks forward to continuing long-term monitoring of the Hanford Site and associated environs to assess potential impacts from site operations to human health and environmental quality, as well as designing, conducting, and analyzing studies to manage biological resources, significant species, habitats, and communities, and monitoring ecological impacts from project operations on the 586-square-mile Hanford Site.
