GREAT LAKES RESTORATION INITIATIVE AWARD GOES TO EAS IN A JOINT VENTURE WITH ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT, INC.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Buffalo District has awarded a multi-year contract to EAS as part of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI).  This decade long, multi-agency project provides funding to target threats to the Great Lakes ecosystem and aims to protect and restore this unique area.  The focus of the GLRI includes safe water, safe fish, elimination of harmful algal blooms, invasive species control, and native habitat protection and restoration.

EAS enters this contract in a joint venture (The EAS E&E Joint Venture) with Ecology and Environment, Inc (E&E), which is headquartered in Buffalo New York.  EAS will focus our efforts on multiple pieces of the GLRI including watershed studies and management plans, aquatic invasive species control, NEPA compliance, and data analysis and modeling, among other elements.  EAS will provide the personnel and supervision necessary to manage multiple task orders simultaneously at multiple locations.
