Under contract with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), EAS developed a species fact sheet for the little-known White Salmon pocket gopher.  Via data mining, the fact sheet provided a summary of key information about the species, as well as a list of references/literature, list of contacts knowledgeable about the species, map of species range and distribution with detailed site location maps, survey protocols, key to identification of the species, and photos.  

EAS conducted a literature search to determine appropriate information pertinent to the topics above, compiled data on the species, searched museum and collections records, and contacted species experts and knowledgeable individuals, then utilized the information acquired to write the species fact sheet.  This information will help USFS foresters to consider potential impacts to White Salmon pocket gophers that could occur from management actions on forest lands.
